Following initial medical and psychiatric training in Glasgow, Dr Morrison studied neuroscience in Chicago, before completing his training in psychiatry and psychopharmacology at the Maudsley Hospital in London. He has considerable experience in the treatment of a range of psychiatric conditions, including bipolar disorder (I and II), borderline PD, cyclothymia, depression, psychosis, anxiety, substance dependence and schizophrenia.
Previous NHS posts have included three years full-time in addictions, and posts in new-onset as well as treatment-resistant major mental disorders. Dr Morrison is also recognised as an international expert in the relationship between cannabis and major mental illness.
